ISLAMORADA, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard helped rescue three adults and a child from a sinking boat Friday morning off the Florida Keys.

A Coast Guard news release said the people on board a 17-foot boat near Alligator Reef reported that they were taking on water about 10:40 a.m.

The Coast Guard dispatched a boat crew from Islamorada to assist.

When the Coast Guard arrived, a good Samaritan was already there helping the distressed boaters.

Two of the boaters were taken to Bud N' Mary's Marina by the Coast Guard. The other two were taken there by the good Samaritan.

No injuries were reported.
