Police said the woman saw two men, one of whom was holding bolt cutters, near the generator that was giving power to the traffic lights.

The bus driver said she continued east on Griffin Road and later saw the same truck with a generator in the bed of the pickup.

She said she looked in her rearview mirror and saw that the traffic lights were no longer working at the intersection.

Police said the men, identified as Burt Nader and Dustin Register, both 22, were captured a short time later at the intersection of State Road 7 and Griffin Road.

Authorities said the traffic lights were no longer working at that intersection, and officers said they saw that the generator was missing.

The bus driver identified the suspects as the men she saw at the first intersection.

Police said Nader and Register admitted to stealing the generators.

While being interviewed by detectives, authorities were notified that a crash had occurred at the intersection of Davie and Griffin roads, the arrest report said.

One person was injured in the crash.

Both men face multiple charges, including grand theft, possession of burglary tools, culpable negligence and altering or removing a traffic device.
