Detectives search for man who scared boy in Pembroke Pines

Man followed boy waiting for school bus Friday morning

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Detectives were looking for a man accused of scaring a boy who was waiting for a school bus Friday in Pembroke Pines. 

According to Sgt. Darryll Curtiss the boy was so scared of the man that he asked a woman if he could wait for his school bus inside her cart outside of the Camden Portifino Clubhouse at 120 NW 108 Terr. 

The boy said the man attempted to start a conversation with him and was persistent. He even followed him. He said the man had a cast on his right leg and was using a scooter to get around. 

Curtiss said the Pembroke Pines Police Department considered the incident an active investigation.
