Oh, rats! Miami among top cities infested by roof rats

Miami ranks ahead of Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco

MIAMI – Should Miami be congratulated or scorned?

While not No. 1 or No. 2, Miami is the third-most infested city in the U.S. when it comes to roof rats; those pesky rodents that become unwelcome house guests and cause things to go scratch in the night.

Terminix released its rankings Monday showing Miami at No. 3, ahead of such cities as Los Angeles (No. 6), Dallas (No. 8) and San Francisco (No. 10).

Roof rats look to enter homes after their food sources dry up outside, and often access a house through, you guessed it, the roof.
