Car involved in I-95 hit-and-run that killed man found at Broward County body shop

Video shows driver leave scene of September crash in Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, Fla. – A car involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a motorcyclist on Interstate 95 earlier this year has been found in Broward County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Sgt. Mark Wysocky said the Chrysler 200 was found Tuesday morning at a body shop somewhere in Broward County.

The car was being sought in connection with the Sept. 2 hit-and-run crash in Boca Raton.

Wysocky said Kevin Scheinberg, 36, was riding his motorcycle north on I-95, just south of the Yamato Road exit, when the driver of the Chrysler 200 changed lanes and struck the motorcycle.

The impact caused Scheinberg to lose control of the motorcycle. Scheinberg was taken to Delray Medical Center, where he died.

Police dashboard camera footage shows that the driver initially stopped, but he got in his car and drove away after authorities arrived.

Wysocky didn't say where, specifically, the car was found. He said troopers are still trying to determine who was driving the car.
