WESTON, Fla. – A Weston woman captured a man burglarizing her home Tuesday on her surveillance cameras.
Danielle Abed told Local 10 News that she was coming home from a doctor's office with her 6-month-old baby when she got an alert on her phone from her surveillance camera system.
The cameras recorded a man rummaging through her home along San Messina Boulevard.
Abed parked her car across the street and called 911.
She said she then saw the intruder leaving her home, so she snapped a picture of the man leaving in a red Toyota Corolla.
"If I were to come home minutes earlier, he would have walked in potentially on me and my baby -- just whatever we would be doing, and just thinking of that made me very distraught," Abed said.
Abed said her home was a total mess when she went inside with drawers left open.
She said the thief, however, left empty-handed.
"I was very angry, like the nerve of this person to just come in and interrupt and invade and, you know, I have a baby," Abed said.
The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating the break-in.
Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
