OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – One man died and another man was wounded during a shooting Thursday night in Opa-locka, police said.
Miami-Dade police Detective Lee Cowart said officers were called to Northwest 143rd Street and Northwest 23rd Place, near Nathan Young Elementary School.
"Arriving officers found two victims," Lee said.
Lee said one of the men was dead when officers got there.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the wounded man to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.
