Car crashes into front of Little Caesars in southwest Miami-Dade

Driver not seriously injured in crash

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A car crashed into the front of a Little Caesars pizzeria Monday morning in southwest Miami-Dade County, authorities said.

The incident was reported around 8 a.m. at the Little Caesars at 1551 SW 107th Ave.

"As I was making the food, I heard something, like a boom," Cecilia Mantilla, who works nearby said. "I said, 'Oh my God, something happened."

Miami-Dade police said the driver was injured in the crash.

Witnesses said the man lost control, accidentally stepping on the gas pedal instead of the brake. The driver wasn't seriously injured.

No other injuries were reported.

According to employees, this isn't the first time a vehicle has crashed into the Little Caesars or other businesses in the shopping plaza.

Employees said the restaurant was slated to begin a three-month remodeling project on Monday.
