MIAMI – A man who was arrested after killing a woman and abandoning her body on a sidewalk is now accused of killing another woman and also disposing of her body, the Miami-Dade Police Department announced Monday night.
Police arrested Juan Carlos Hernandez Caseres, 37, in the death of Ann Farran, 41, on Saturday.
Miami Police Department detectives said they have surveillance video showing Hernandez Caseres abandoning Farran's body on a sidewalk near Northwest 37th Street and Northwest 25th Avenue last Wednesday.
Miami-Dade police detectives were still investigating the death of Neidy Roche, 39, whose body was found March 2 on the roadside along Northwest 30th Avenue and Northwest 26th Street. They used DNA evidence to link Hernandez Caseres to the crime, Detective Lee Cowart said.
Police said Hernandez Caseres also confessed to killing both women. Detectives are investigating if he may have been responsible for other unsolved cases.
Hernandez Caseres appeared in court Tuesday, where he was ordered to be held without bond.
