Despite fatal looting incidents, protesters march in Venezuela's Ciudad Bolivar

Southern city protesters support protests in Caracas

MIAMI – Amid the protests against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, there was a looting incident in southern Venezuela that left a 30-year-old man dead.

According to a police report obtained by The Associated Press, Carlos Alfredo Olivares Bonalde died Tuesday night during a shooting in Ciudad Bolivar. El Pitazo reported 24-year-old Yeimbert Jose Rangel was killed during another looting incident in Ciudad Bolivar's Marhuanta area. 

Witnesses told police officers four people descended from a beige Jeep and fired upon a crowd that had raided a store.

 

 

 

 

Despite the looting incidents, Venezuelan protesters turned out to march peacefully in Ciudad Bolivar.
