Officers arrest suspect after fatal shooting

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A man on a motorcycle was fatally shot while stopped at a red light in Fort Lauderdale, police said.

The shooting occurred Thursday night at the intersection of Cypress Creek Road and Powerline Road.

A witness, who did not want to be identified, said a driver shot at the motorcyclist about 9 p.m.

Another witness, Tracy Davis, said she heard the gunman and the victim arguing before the shooting. 

Fort Lauderdale police said the motorcyclist died at a hospital.

Police said the shooter was taken into custody.

The names of the victim and the suspect haven't been released.
