$400K raised for Humane Society in Broward

Animal lovers get active in Fort Lauderdale

Downtown Fort Lauderdale "Walk for the Animals" raises about $400K for the Humane Society of Broward County.Ā

Radar, my newest rescue pup, and his big brothers Simba and Jagger were at the event.

WeĀ need help to reach our $5,000 goalĀ to help the organization, which is expected to save about 8,000 animals this year.Ā

To support the effort dozens of animal lovers will meet again for Big Dog Golf at 11:30 a.m., April 7 at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club, 415 Country Club Circle in Plantation.Ā

Bingo for Besties will follow at 11 a.m. April 16 at 2070 Griffin Road, in Fort Lauderdale. Ā
