Coast guard to unload 26.5 tons of cocaine at Port Everglades

Drugs seized in 27 different operations

MIAMI – The U.S. Coast Guard is preparing to unload 26.5 tons of cocaine Thursday at Port Everglades 

The drugs were seized in 27 different operations in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. The drugs are believed to be worth an estimated $715 million.

U.S. and Canadian authorities said they worked together to keep the drugs from reaching North American shores.
