MIAMI – Two people are in custody after a pastor was carjacked Thursday afternoon in Miami, authorities said.
The carjacking was reported in the area of Northwest 46th Street and Seventh Avenue.
The pastor was leaving his church when he noticed a flag was crooked, according to members of the church.
Police said the pastor stopped his vehicle to fix the sign when he was approached by two men, one of whom had a small-caliber handgun.
The carjackers left in the victim's 2015 Land Rover, authorities said.
The vehicle was recovered a short time later in the area of Northwest 79th Street and 32nd Avenue.
The suspects' identities were not immediately released.
