2 thieves target unlocked vehicles in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Burglars get away with loose change, medical supplies, deputies say

LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for two thieves who they said targeted unlocked vehicles in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

The burglaries were reported just before 6 p.m. on April 3.

Surveillance video shows the men getting out of the back seat of a black sedan and approaching a home.

Deputies said they each got into an unlocked vehicle that was parked outside.

Deputies said the burglars got away with loose change from a 2016 BMW X5 and medical supplies from a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call Detective Danny Mursell at 954-640-4240. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
