3 arrested in connection with shooting at West Park party

WEST PARK, Fla. – Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that was reported over the weekend at an outdoor party in West Park, authorities said.

Braxton Davis, 22, Tony Hall, 26, and Cambrell Smart, 23, were arrested Monday on charges of attempted murder.

Davis and Smart also face charges for violation of probation as felons in possession of a weapon.

The shooting was reported at 2:50 a.m. Saturday in the area of Southwest 48th Avenue and 20th Street.

According to a Broward Sheriff's Office news release, the suspects parked a dark-colored vehicle at the intersection, and Smart and Davis got out of the car.

Deputies said Smart fired a shot in the air, and then he and Davis shot at people who were gathered at the outdoor party.

A man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown, and authorities have not released his name.
