3 teens arrested after cars stolen from Fort Lauderdale auto shop

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Three of the five teenagers who are believed to have stolen vehicles from a Fort Lauderdale auto shop early Monday were arrested Tuesday, authorities said.

Fort Lauderdale police said two 15-year-old boys were turned in by family members who saw a report about the car thefts on TV, and a 14-year-old boy was found in the Lauderdale Lakes area with help from the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Police said five vehicles were stolen early Monday from Premium Cars at 1306 N. State Road 7.

The owner of Premium Cars told Local 10 News reporter Erica Rakow that he has been at the location for four months and his business has already been burglarized twice.

According to the owner, surveillance video shows five juveniles stealing the vehicles, which include a red 2010 Audi A4, a black 2006 Lexus, a gray 2008 Nissan Altima, a silver 2007 Infiniti M35 and a black 2006 Mercedes CLS.
