Police seek 3 men involved in robbery

AVENTURA, Fla. – Aventura police are searching for three men who robbed a Jared The Galleria of Jewelry store last week.

The robbery was reported about 15 minutes before closing time Jan. 31 at the Jared at 19001 Biscayne Blvd.

According to an incident report, the robbers, who were wearing gloves and had their faces covered, entered the business and one of them used a hammer to try to bust open one of the glass display cases near the entrance.

Police said the man was unsuccessful, but was able to break into another display and grab jewelry.

A second man yelled for everyone inside the store to get on the ground, while the third robber stayed at the front entrance acting as a lookout, the report said.

Police said about $50,000 in jewelry was stolen.

The robbers fled the scene in an unknown vehicle and the store manager called 911.

No arrests have been made.
