According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, a man asked the clerk for a pack of cigarettes and then pointed a gun at the employee when the clerk tried to hand him the merchandise.

Deputies said the thief ordered the clerk to empty the register and give him a roll of scratch-off lottery tickets.

Authorities said the robber stuffed his gun into the front of his pants, because he had his hands full with the bag of cash and lottery tickets.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Detective Mohammad Razi at 954-321-4547 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
