BSO seeks teen who pulled fire alarm at Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a teenager who they said pulled a fire alarm inside a hotel in Deerfield Beach.

The incident was reported just after 12:30 a.m. June 14 at the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort at 2096 NE Second St.

Authorities said security cameras captured a group of teenage boys entering the hotel through the lobby and roaming around aimlessly for several minutes.

Deputies said the group made their way to the back of the hotel and left through panic bar exit doors.

As the group left, one of the boys stepped back inside and pulled the fire alarm, deputies said.

The hotel was evacuated, and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews responded to the hotel.

Authorities said the teen who pulled the alarm was wearing a yellow shirt, which at times he had pulled up above his head.
