Burglars ransack restaurant in Miami, police say

Thieves kicked out wall-mounted A/C unit to get inside La Ceiba Restaurant

MIAMI – Miami police detectives are searching for two thieves who ransacked a restaurant.

Surveillance video released Wednesday shows the thieves kicking out a wall-mounted A/C unit about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 29 to get inside La Ceiba Restaurant, at 815 W. Flagler St.

Police said the men ransacked the closed business, stealing a flat-screen TV, DJ equipment and the restaurant's cash register, which contained about $300.

Police said the burglars also damaged two ATMs that were located inside the restaurant.
