MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Gardens police assisted Miramar police Wednesday when a person fled from a traffic stop, Miami Gardens spokeswoman Petula Burks said.
During the chase the driver struck an unmarked Miami Gardens police vehicle and eventually came to a stop after striking an object, Burks said.

After the crash the driver fled on foot.
Miramar police set up a perimeter, and the driver was eventually caught and taken into custody within that city’s limits, Burks said.
