Family asks for public's help in finding 80-year-old man's killer

Wife found Giles Hutton dead inside home July 22, police say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A South Florida family is asking for the public's help in finding the person who killed their loved one earlier this year.

Miami-Dade police said Giles Hutton, 80, was found dead by his wife at about 1 a.m. July 22 inside his home in the area of Northwest 97th Street and 31st Avenue.

"One thing I'm sure of is there is a God above, and he knows what happened, and I'm asking whoever did this (to) give up, because you can run, but you can't hide from God," Virginia Hutton said. "I can't sleep some nights, thinking about who could do something like this to him."

Virginia Hutton said she and her husband had been married for 12 years.

Authorities have not said how Hutton died, but detectives said Hutton's white Lincoln town car was stolen and was found by authorities two days later.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
