FBI seeks man who robbed BB&T Bank in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The FBI is searching for a man who they said robbed a BB&T Bank branch last week in Fort Lauderdale.

The robbery was reported at 4:10 p.m. Friday at the BB&T at 1750 E. Sunrise Blvd.

FBI Special Agent Michael D. Leverock said the robber demanded money from a teller and implied that he had a weapon.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

Leverock said there were customers inside the bank during the robbery, but no one was injured.
