Police said another man, Usmael Carvajal, 29, was arrested July 12 on the same charges. He faces an additional charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

The home invasion was reported at 3:15 a.m. June 13 at a home in the area of Southwest 159th Street and Southwest 98th Avenue.

Police said two armed men who were wearing vests and were dressed as police officers broke through the front door and put handcuffs on a 37-year-old husband and his 32-year-old wife.

Police said the thieves forced the victims to open a safe and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to police, the couple's three children were inside the home at the time, but were asleep.

No injuries were reported.
