Hollywood police seek man who robbed CVS with hammer

Man stole money from cash register, fled on foot

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A man used a hammer to rob a CVS in Hollywood on June 16, police said.

The man walked into the drugstore at 2701 Stirling Road to make a purchase and than returned at about 4:30 a.m. with the hammer, Hollywood police said.

The man jumped behind the counter  and took off with money from a cash register before fleeing on foot.

The robber was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.
