MIAMI - A homeless man was arrested Sunday after he posed as a parking attendant in downtown Miami, police said.

Michael Phillips, 43, faces charges of conducting business without a license and subsequent violation of fraudulently creating or possessing admission tickets.

According to an arrest affidavit, Phillips was seen directing traffic into a parking lot along Biscayne Boulevard near Northeast Fourth Street.

A woman told police that Phillips had charged her $20 for parking and handed her a receipt ticket. However, police said Phillips didn't have a license to conduct business in the parking lot.

Police said the arresting officer recognized Phillips as the same man who had been arrested the day before for having phony parking admission tickets.

Phillips was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. His bond was set at $1,001.
