Lauderhill police arrest 22-year-old man accused of killing 2

Detectives identify suspect involved in 2 crime scenes

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Nathaniel Petgrave was in the main Broward County jail Sunday facing charges in what police officers suspect was a two-day crime spree. 

Lauderhill Police Department detectives accused Petgrave, 22, of killing two men and wounding another last week. He was arrested Friday.

Lt. Mike Santiago said the case remains active.

Police believe Petgrave fatally shot a 65-year-old man and wounded a 68-year-old man Oct. 20 at a gas station at 3609 W. Broward Blvd. They also believe he shot a 50-year-old man in the back of the head Oct. 21 outside of a store at 110 NW 11 Ave.  

Records show Petgrave faces two charges of premeditated murder and a charge of attempted premeditated murder.
