Man arrested in connection with fatal northwest Miami-Dade shooting

Adraham Saint Louis, 26, faces second-degree murder, attempted murder charges

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested Wednesday, more than a year after a shooting in northwest Miami-Dade that left one man dead.

According to an arrest report, Adraham Saint Louis, 26, got into an argument with the occupants of a yellow Camaro that had pulled up alongside a van that Saint Louis was sitting in on Aug. 25 in the 1200 block of Northwest 18th Court.

Police said Saint Louis pulled out a gun and began to shoot at the Camaro, accidentally shooting a neighbor who was standing outside. The neighbor survived.

Authorities said the driver of the Camaro sped northbound on Northwest 18th Court as the passenger returned fire in Saint Louis's direction.

Responding police officers found the Camaro parked at a shopping center at 12615 NW 17th Ave.

Police said the passenger was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and had no vital signs. 

Witnesses told detectives that Saint Louis initiated the shootout, the arrest report stated.

According to the report, Saint Louis voluntarily responded to the Miami-Dade Police Department on Wednesday to be questioned by detectives.

Police said Saint Louis admitted to being in the area at the time of the shooting, but claimed that he was not involved.

Saint Louis was arrested on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. He is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
