MIAMI – Miami police are searching for a man who stole several items from a home last month while a family was sleeping.
The burglary was reported just after 2:30 a.m. Feb. 8 in the 1700 block of Southwest 11th Terrace.

Police said the thief prowled around the victim's backyard for about 30 minutes before finding some items to take.
The family was awakened by the noise of the man rummaging around their backyard, and the homeowner went outside to see what was happening.
Police said the homeowner opened his refrigerator, which is located on the back patio, and found the door open and several bottles of wine missing.
The victim's lawn blower was also stolen.
The homeowner immediately reviewed his home surveillance video, which showed the thief leaving the backyard with the lawn blower while trying to hide his face with his shirt.
