NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE – Authorities are conducting a homicide investigation after a shooting claimed the life of a teen Friday night.
According to Miami-Dade Detective Argemis Colome, the 16-year-old was walking near his home on Northwest 19th Avenue and 75th Street when shots were fired.

Officers who arrived on the scene found the victim on the ground. The teen was pronounced dead by rescue crews.
The teen's identity has not yet been released. The person or people responsible remain on the run.
