MIAMI – A Stop & Shop in Miami's Flagami neighborhood has become a regular spot for robbers in search of quick cash.

In April, a gunman who was dressed all in black robbed the store about 3:30 a.m. In May, a knife-wielding man who was wearing a skull mask robbed the same store. Alfredo Garcia, 32, was arrested for robbing the store in February.

On Wednesday night, Miami detectives were searching for an armed man who stole money from the store, according to Officer Kenia Fallat, a spokeswoman for the Miami police department.

Fallata said the man was wearing a grey stripped shirt, dark black pants and was holding a black duffel bag when he walked into the Stop & Shop store at 4777 W. Flagler St., about 9:50 a.m., Saturday. The man who weighs about 180 pounds demanded cash.

"The employee complied and gave the suspect all the money from inside the cash register," Fallat said in a statement. "The suspect grabbed the money, placed it inside a black bag, and fled from the store towards a southbound direction."

Fallat said detectives were asking anyone with information about the Saturday robbery to call the Miami Police Department’s Robbery Unit at 305-603-6370 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
