Pickup truck used by burglar leads to suspect's arrest

Orlando Mora is accused of burglarizing two Islamorada businesses in December 2013.

KEY WEST, Fla. – A Miami man has been arrested in connection with a pair of Islamorada burglaries from 2013.

Orlando Mora, 57, was arrested Wednesday on charges of burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said Mora burglarized Blue Water Weddings and Innovative Technology Solutions in December 2013.

Surveillance video showed the burglar using a tool to pry open the front doors of the businesses.

Herrin said surveillance video showed the suspect leaving with a laptop from one of the businesses and two televisions from the other business. The video showed him driving away in a white Ford pickup truck.

A Monroe County sheriff's detective was able to identify the truck, leading to Mora's arrest.
