Pembroke Pines man found with child porn on 3 electronic devices, police say

33-year-old previously arrested for impersonating ICE officer

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A man who was arrested in 2015 for impersonating a customs and immigration agent, once told Pembroke Pines police that he did it for "the thrill of it," because he is  "passionate about  about immigrants coming to this country illegally," was arrested Thursday on child pornography charges.

Matthew Joseph Villemure Oliveira was arrested in May 2015 on multiple felony charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and impersonating a law enforcement officer.

Oliveira gave police permission to seize his electronic devices as evidence after his arrest and provided the examiner with his passwords for the devices, police said.

The Pembroke Pines police forensics lab found several files on three devices that depicted child porn, police said.

The files were labeled "teen" on all three devices and the files contained images of prepubescent and pubescent underage boys performing oral sex and anal sex, police said.

"The file names contained terms which are common(among) collectors of child pornography, such as 'PTHC (pre-teen hard core),'" police said. "Some of those file names are '12yo boy sucks 16 yo in public restroom,' and 'romantic child sex.'"

About 50 images were found on each of the devices, police said.

Police were able to verify 23 separate video files that depicted prepubescent boys engaging in anal and oral sex, police said, in addition to other files that were still under review at the time of  Oliveira’s arrest.

Police learned on Thursday that Oliveira had removed his court-ordered monitoring device, and an arrest warrant was issued.

Oliveira was at Plantation General Hospital when police arrested him.
