Robber passes note demanding money to teller at Tamarac bank

TAMARAC, Fla. – A man passed a note to a bank teller Monday morning in Tamarac, demanding cash, authorities said.

The robbery was reported at 9:55 a.m. at the BB&T Bank at 8201 N. University Drive.

FBI Special Agent Michael D. Leverock said customers were inside the bank at the time, but no one was injured.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Anyone with information about the robber's identity is asked to call the FBI at 754-703-2000 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
