WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A former Secret Service agent pleaded guilty Wednesday to enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity and attempting to transfer obscene materials to a minor.
Lee Robert Moore, 38, entered his plea before U.S. District Judge Daniel T. K. Hurley in West Palm Beach.
According to federal prosecutors, Delaware State Police detectives created a profile on the social media application Meet24, posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Authorities said Moore engaged in numerous chat sessions with the detectives over two months that were sexual in nature.
Prosecutors said Moore sent photos of himself to the undercover detectives, one of which was sexually explicit.
According to the plea documents, Moore continued to communicate with a minor in Florida after he was arrested on Nov. 9, 2015.
Moore confessed to communicating with the girl and sending sexually explicit photos of himself to her. He also confessed to enticing the minor to send him sexually explicit photos of herself.
Prosecutors said Moore engaged in the same behavior with a 14-year-old girl in Texas and a 17-year-old girl in Missouri.
Moore requested that his federal charges in Delaware be transferred to the Southern District of Florida so that he could plead guilty to both charges at once.
Prosecutors said Moore was assigned to the White House at the time of his arrest.
He has since been fired from the Secret Service.
