Serial robber believed to be targeting Miami-Dade businesses

At least 6 businesses robbed in recent months, police say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for a serial robber who they believe is targeting numerous businesses throughout Miami-Dade County.

Police said the man is believed to be involved in at least six recent robberies.

The latest incident was reported about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday at a 7-Eleven convenience store at 18421 NW 67th Ave.

Police said the thief grabbed a beverage from the cooler, but then pulled out a gun when he went to the counter with the drink.

Police said the man pointed the gun at the store clerk as he opened the cash register and demanded money.

The victim complied and the robber fled on foot.

Another robbery was reported about 4:30 a.m. April 26 at a RaceWay gas station at 19851 NW 57th Ave.

Police said a man, who is believed to be the same thief, pulled out a gun from his waistband and pointed it at two employees, demanding cash and cigarettes.

The clerks complied with the demands and the robber fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

Authorities believe the same man is involved with four other robberies in Miami.

The Miami robberies were reported April 18 at a CVS Pharmacy at 3695 W. Flagler St.; April 26 at a Stop and Shop at 4713 West Flagler St.; Tuesday at a CVS Pharmacy at 2710 SW Eighth St.; and Tuesday at Walgreens Pharmacy at 2700 W. Flagler St.

Miami police said the armed robber demanded cash and Newport cigarettes during the robberies. 

The victims were not injured in any of the robberies.
