Barber, 33, of Greenacres, told police he shot and killed Kunta Kinte Riddick, 40, in self-defense, Slater said.

Riddick is the twin brother of Kelcey Riddick, who is accused of killing Barber's brother during another shooting in Boynton Beach in September.

According to a police report from the September shooting, Riddick fatally shot Derrick Barber on Labor Day evening. A confidential informant told police that the shooter's twin brother and Derrick Barber were feuding over the victim's child's mother.

Witnesses to Wednesday's shooting told police that Samuel Barber was the aggressor and shot Kunta Kinte Riddick in the back while he was face-down on the ground.

Samuel Barber is facing a charge of second-degree murder. He was being held without bond in a Palm Beach County jail.
