Suspects involved in armed robbery, deputies say

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Three people are in custody after a chase ended in a crash Tuesday afternoon in North Lauderdale, Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said.

Deputies were pursuing a stolen sport utility vehicle when it crashed at the intersection of McNab Road and Rock Island Road.

Sky 10 was above the crash scene as a woman was placed on a stretcher and into the back of an ambulance.

BSO deputies said the suspects were involved in an armed robbery that was reported shortly after 1 p.m. at a Cash America, 2880 N. State Road 7, in Lauderdale Lakes.

Deputies said the suspects fled from authorities and bailed out of the SUV after crashing into multiple vehicles.

Two people were detained at the scene, deputies said, and a third person was taken into custody at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Hampton Boulevard.

Deputies said multiple people were injured in the crash, but their injuries were not life-threatening.

The suspects' identities were not immediately released.
