Teenage boy shot in Miami, police officers say

Officers respond to active crime scene in residential area

MIAMI – Detectives with the City of Miami Police Department were investigating a shooting that left a teen wounded Saturday during an attempted robbery. 

Authorities responded to a home at 1530 NW 15 Ave., where a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery, according to Miami Police Detective Yelitza Cedano. 

Cedano, a spokesperson for the police department, said the boy suffered non-life threatening injuries and there were no suspects in custody. 

The boy was at Jackson Memorial Hospital. 

Police officers were asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
