2 unauthorized transactions made on missing debit card

The victim had placed his wallet and his purchase on the counter as he waited to pay, deputies said.

When it was his turn to pay, the victim grabbed his items, but didn't pick up his wallet, deputies said. That's when the thief, who was standing behind him, stole the wallet.

As the victim and other customers in the store looked for the wallet, the thief stood nearby unmoved, deputies said. He even stayed in the store long enough to buy a sports drink.

"The victim later found out that two unauthorized transactions were made with his missing debit card," deputies said.

The thief is said to have tattoos on the right side of his body and was last seen wearing a sleeveless, blue, Nike T-shirt, gray shorts and light-colored sneakers. He also wore sunglasses, was bald and had a long, blackish beard.

The thief left the store on a motorcycle and headed west on West Oakland Park Boulevard.

Anyone who has information is asked to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
