Thieves who stole fragrances from North Lauderdale Walgreens sought, deputies say

BSO: Duo gets away with more than grand in merchandise

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ Authorities are searching for two thieves who got away with more than a grand in merchandise, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

The male and female thieves were seen around 4 p.m. Oct. 10 walking into a Walgreens store at 7105 West McNab Road in North Lauderdale.

Deputies said the male thief grabbed a plastic shopping bag and handed it to his accomplice.

The male thief crouched behind the register, slid open the glass door to the perfume case and handed various fragrances to his partner, deputies said. The female thief kept an eye out for employees.

Deputies said the male thief stepped out from behind the counter and then repeated the sneaky maneuvers at least three more times before the two walked out of the convenience store.

Nearly 20 bottles of perfume and cologne were stolen, deputies said.
