Woman arrested after setting up armed clinic robbery, police say

Ladonna Florence now in custody; 2 more robbers sought

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. - A woman accused of facilitating an armed robbery at a clinic has been arrested, police said Tuesday.

Ladonna Florence entered the 125 Clinic, 505 NE 125th St., prior to the robbery to gain information on the business and its employees, according to a news release from the North Miami Police Department.

Florence, along with Zion Smith and two other people who have yet to be identified or arrested, terrorized, beat and robbed the victims at the clinic at gunpoint, police said.

The robbery took place in the early afternoon hours Feb. 10, police said. The group stole several thousand dollars in cash, then took off, according to authorities. As the assailants ran away, they shot at some of the victims, who had escaped out the back door, police said.

Officers are still looking to identify and take the remaining two robbers into custody. The incident was captured on surveillance video, so police distributed the footage in hopes of finding the remaining men.

They are considered to be armed and extremely dangerous, the news release said.

Anyone with information is urged to call the North Miami Police Department at 305-891-8111 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
