CORAL GABLES, Fla. – A woman was robbed of her jewelry Tuesday in a parking lot at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, authorities said.
According to a crime advisory sent to students and employees by campus police, the victim, who is in her mid-40s, was walking to her car shortly after 8 p.m. behind the Watsco Center on Dauer Drive when she was approached by a man who was wearing a gray hoodie.
Police said a struggle ensued and the man stole jewelry from the victim.
Authorities said the robber told the woman that he had a gun, although he did not pull it out.
Police said the robber left in a dark-colored Nissan Altima with tinted windows that was being driven by another man.
