Marsha Lee Boothe arrested wearing only bra, underwear, shoes

Marsha Lee Boothe is accused of stabbing another woman with a box cutter after smoking flakka on a bus bench.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Fort Lauderdale woman was arrested after she smoked flakka on a bus bench next to a homeless woman and then stabbed her with a box cutter, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office report.

Marsha Lee Boothe, 25, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

According to the report, Sonja King was sitting on a bus bench Sept. 7 in the 3000 block of West Sunrise Boulevard when a woman, later identified as Boothe, sat next to her and started to smoke the synthetic drug flakka.

After Boothe, who was wearing a black negligee, finished smoking, King walked away, but Boothe followed her. King stopped and asked Boothe why she was following her, but Boothe didn't answer, the report said.

Moments later, Boothe pulled a box cutter from her purse and, without warning, cut King in the arm, chest and breasts, the report said. Boothe then fled the scene, the report said.

King spent three days in a hospital. She underwent surgery to repair her right arm, which had been cut to the bone, and needed two stitches across her chest.

A few days after the attack, King saw Boothe at a gas station in the same area. Boothe still had a box cutter with her, so King went in search of help, but Boothe was gone before King could find a BSO deputy, the report said.

King spotted Boothe again Tuesday, recognizing the blond streak in the center of her accused attacker's hair. King got a deputy's attention and identified Boothe as the woman who had attacked her earlier in the month.

According to the report, Boothe was wearing only a black bra, underwear and shoes when she was arrested. The arresting deputy said Boothe didn't provide a statement because she "appeared to be somewhat incoherent and struggled to stay awake."
