Cuba postpones municipal elections

Elections to be held Nov. 26

MIAMI – Cuba's Communist Party, the only legal political party on the island, announced they were delaying the municipal elections. 

The Council of State moved the Oct. 22 election day to Nov. 26.

According to the announcement published on Granma, the ruling party's newspaper, Hurricane Irma was to blame for the delay.
