2 Chiwawas saved from fire; Cockatoo dies

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - Firefighters in Pompano Beach rescued two dogs when they responded to a trailer fire.

The trailer fire was at 1728 Southwest 9th Drive about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

When firefighters arrived, they quickly put out the fire.

No people were inside the time, but firefighters found a Cockatoo and two Chihuahuas. The bird had died.

The two dogs, one which was pregnant, were given oxygen. Both were taken to a nearby animal hospital.
