Dolphins beat Rams 17-14

MIAMI - The Miami Dolphins (3-3) beat the St. Louis Rams (3-3) on Sunday.

The Fins held on for a 17-14 win in a defensive struggle.

The Dolphins trailed 6-0 when Ryan Tannehill connected with Marlon Moore on a 29-yard touchdown pass to give Miami a 7-6 lead.

After the Fins recovered a Rams fumble, Dan Carpenter connected on a 42-yard field goal to give the Dolphins at 10-6 halftime lead.

During halftime, the team added two legends to the Honor Roll.

Defensive Lineman Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas had their names placed in the Ring along the upper deck of Sun Life Stadium.

In the 3rd quarter, the Dolphins extended the lead when Ryan Tannehill connected with Anthony Fasano on a 1-yard touchdown.

The Rams would cut Miami's lead to 17-14.

But as time expired in the 4th, Greg Zuerlein missed a long field goal attempt.

The Dolphins next have a bye week.

After that, the Fins travel to New York to face the Jets.
