Driver crashes into tree, parked cars while fleeing from police, authorities say

Miami-Dade police continue to search for driver

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for a man who fled from officers early Tuesday, authorities said.

Sky 10 was above the area of Southwest 111th Street and 122nd Avenue and saw numerous police vehicles outside a home.

Police said undercover officers were working a burglary detail in the area earlier in the morning when they noticed a suspicious vehicle.

Police said officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver took off and police lost him.

Police said they spotted the driver again, but he took off a second time before crashing into a tree and two parked cars outside a home.

The driver ran away and police are still searching for him, authorities said.

According to Miami-Dade police, there has been an increase in car burglaries in the area.
