NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – A family's pet died Tuesday morning in a house fire in North Miami.
Sky 10 was above the home at 445 NE 127th St. at 9:30 a.m. as firefighters were trying to save the animal.

A tarp was placed over the animal's body a short time later.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said smoke was billowing out of the home when firefighters arrived.
Firefighters entered the home and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
Although the family's pet could not be saved, no one else was injured in the fire, authorities said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
